First phase of Dubai luxury resort to open shortly
Hospitality group, Jumeirah International’s, newest resort hotel will be opening in Dubai in September.
The Mina A’Salam – translating as "Port of Peace" – will be the first hotel to open within the group’s Madinat Jumeirah development, with all 292 rooms featuring views over the Arabian Gulf.
Extending along more than 1km of the Arabian Gulf coast, the Madinat Jumeirah project will – on completion in the autumn of next year – be the largest beachfront property in the United Arab Emirates.
In addition to the Mina A’Salam, the resort will include a further 300-room "grand boutique" hotel, 340 guest rooms in courtyard villas, a souk-style retail complex, restaurants, a spa and what is claimed to be the area’s largest conference and banqueting facility. The different components of the development will be linked by waterways.
Project developers for both Mina A’Salam and Madinat Jumeirah are Mirage Mille, responsible for the creation of the Sun City themed resort in South Africa.
Other properties in the Jumeirah International portfolio include the Burj Al Arab, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Beit Al Bahar and Wild Wadi Water Park. Details: www.jumeirahinternational.com
