Jayne Carr has been promoted from customer care manager to general manager at Fitness First Sheffield Millhouses.

Previously a personal shopper for Debenhams, Carr said her past experience was entirely service-driven and helped equip her with the customer care attitude she uses in her day-to-day contact with health club members.

“I will continue to focus on the delivery of exceptional service, maintenance and cleanliness, but I also believe that fitness should be fun and aim to reflect this in the innovative, varied and friendly service we provide,” She said.

Meanwhile, former infantry fitness and firearms instructor Shaun Cassidy has been appointed general manager at Fitness First Bradford Eccleshill.

Just 14 months ago Cassidy was working as a personal trainer for the company at its Manchester city-centre club and is delighted to have achieved such accelerated career progression in such a short a time.

Since joining Fitness First, Cassidy has experienced several positions within the company including assistant general manager and cluster personal trainer co-ordinator, where he oversaw the personal trainer operation in three clubs.

“I really enjoy the fast pace pf learning at this innovative company,” he said.
