Fusion Lifestyle will invest £1.9m in upgrading three Charnwood Borough Council (CBC)-owned leisure centres after securing a 10.5-year agreement to operate the facilities.
Loughborough Leisure Centre; South Charnwood Leisure Centre, Syston; and Soar Valley Leisure Centre, Mountsorrel are all in line for improvements as a result of the deal. Meanwhile, an additional £2.4m will be spent on equipment over the course of the 10.5-year deal, with £3.9m to be invested in maintenance and repairs.
CBC cabinet member for leisure and culture Paul Harley said: "Not only will [the deal] see significant investment in our three leisure centres, but it will also see incredible savings to the Council - so we are getting more for less."
