Garden design competition at V&A
Six international garden designers have unveiled new designs for the V&A’s Italianate courtyard garden, to replace the existing landscaping which has been in place for sixteen years.
The six designs will be exhibited at the V&A over the summer, allowing visitors to comment on the ideas before a winning design is chosen. The designers are Adriaan Geuze, Christopher Bradley-Hole, Kim Wilkie, Kathryn Gustafson, Martha Schwartz and the Olin Partnership.
Mark Jones, director of the V&A, said: “We are delighted that these six excellent designers have all agreed to submit new ideas for the V&A’s garden.
“They give us a wide range of exciting designs to choose from and we look forward to hearing the views of visitors to the Museum over the coming months.”
The competition is sponsored by the Friends of the V&A. Details: www.vam.ac.uk
