Green light for Leicester football facilities
Leicester City Council (LCC) has approved planning permission for new football facilities at two sites across the city as part of its wider GBP11.2m Football Investment Strategy.
The former Riverside College site and Aylestone Playing Fields are the last of 11 proposed football developments and will see construction work get underway in early spring.
A clubhouse and a floodlit artificial turf pitch are planned for the Riverside College site, with a changing room block to be built at Aylestone Playing Fields.
