Gulliver’s opens Switchback ride
Gulliver’s Matlock Bath theme park in Derbyshire has opened its latest attraction, the 1 million euro Switchback rollercoaster.
The new family ride coaster is situated on one of the park’s terraces and set on a free standing steel frame. It uses a single, 24-seat train comprising six cars, each holding four passengers.
Individual lap bars are used for the ride, which lasts around one minute and 45 seconds. It is estimated that the hourly capacity of the ride will be 450 riders.
The group chair of Gulliver’s, Ray Phillips, said: “We are delighted to bring Switchback to Matlock Bath and I’m sure it will be a very popular addition to the park.”
