Gympass, the world’s largest corporate fitness platform, has launched Gympass Plus to offer its 2,200 operator partners access to more than 500 workouts from 18 content providers – including Zumba and Gaiam.

The new easy-to-use service includes an on-demand platform powered by Wexer and will allow operators’ members to access the workouts using a code provided by their gym or studio. They can then search by duration, type or content provider, mark their favourites and track their workout activity.

“We recognise that creating or hosting online classes may be difficult for some of our operator partners,” says Eamon Lloyd, Gympass' head of partnerships for UK and Ireland.

“Our partnership with Wexer is an opportunity for us to give them access to great content to help keep their members active and loyal to their brand.

"While this solution is especially impactful now, when members can’t physically be in the gym, Gympass Plus is part of a long-term plan to help our operator partners engage with their members whether they want to workout in the gym or at home.

"Our partnership with Wexer forms an exciting part of the Gympass Plus offering.”

The first UK partner to make Gympass Plus available to its members is Everyone Active, which manages 190+ sites on behalf of local authorities – all of which are currently shut due to COVID-19.

“We’ve always valued our partnership with Gympass, but the support we’ve received over the last few weeks is testament to what a superior partner they are,” says Duncan Jefford, regional director, Everyone Active.

“Gympass Plus has played a crucial role in helping us stay connected with our members during this time. The on-demand workouts in Gympass Plus allow us to provide an unrivalled total offering for Everyone Active members, now and into the future.”

Paul Bowman, Wexer CEO, added: “In extraordinary times like these, with people forced to stay at home and levels of anxiety running high, the importance of staying active – for both physical and mental health – becomes even greater.

“Wexer is therefore very proud to partner with Gympass to launch this virtual group exercise offering for its fitness partners, helping them retain their membership base through these difficult times.”
