Changing area security is increasingly becoming a concern for the sports and health and fitness industries, the more so as growing numbers of people carry portable electronic equipment with them.

Locker company Helmsman has just introduced a new design which not only allows valuable equipment to be stored with greater security but also offers the option of an innovative charging facility for portable equipment such as laptops, cameras, mobile phones and anything else with an AC/DC adapter.

Helmsman's managing director Anne Rivett says that the lockers are designed to deter even the most determined of thieves. “With 2mm thick steel, high quality locks, and optional swipe card access on each separate locker compartment - plus an optional steel security bar locked tight with a padlock - this locker is a very tough cookie.”

The lockers are available with either ten or fifteen compartments, or can be customised.
