InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened its first Holiday In Express in Canada’s capital city, Ottawa.

The 91-room, new-build property – located near Ottawa International Airport – is the 10th Holiday Inn Express in the country.

The hotel features a 24-hour business centre, an indoor pool, a fitness suite and 750sq ft of meeting space.

As well as standard rooms, the hotel boasts 19 King Business Class Suites and one Deluxe Jacuzzi Suite with a king-sized bed, a living room and a fireplace.

Asoka Wikramanayake, general manager of the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Ottawa Airport, said: “We invested US$12m (£8.2m, 9.46m euro) to build this property with the goal of providing a relaxed atmosphere with all the latest in comfort while offering the tools our guests need to ensure a productive stay, and we’re pleased with the end result.”
