The winners of the World Spa & Wellness (WSW) Awards were announced at a gala dinner last weekend during the 2023 WSW conference in London.

The awards – split into 11 categories – recognise destinations that set the standards in client service and care, business management and leadership.

The winners are deemed to offer exceptional facilities and treatments while 'going the extra mile', inspiring others in the industry with their business models.

For the second year in a row, the iconic Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary & Holistic Spa on the Thai island of Koh Samui scooped the top accolade of Worldwide Health & Wellness Destination of the Year, while hotel and resort spa winners were also announced for different regions across the globe.

The World Spa & Wellness Awards 2023 winners are:

Spa of the Year - Asia & Australasia: The Healing Village Spa, Bali, Indonesia.

Spa of the Year - Middle East & Africa: Spa Royal Mansour, Marrakech, Morocco.• Spa of the Year - North & South America: Spa Ojai at Ojai Valley Inn, Ojai, USA.

Spa of the Year - Eastern Europe: The Spa, Four Seasons Astir Palace, Athens, Greece.• Day Spa of the Year - Western Europe & Scandinavia: Thermal Spa Village, Galgorm, Ballymena, Antrim.

Worldwide Health & Wellness Destination of the Year: Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary & Holistic Spa, Koh Samui, Thailand.• Sustainable Spa of the Year: Lefay Resort & Spa Dolomiti, Pinzolo, Italy and Lefay Resort & Spa Lago di Garda, Gargnano, Italy.

Spa Leader of the Year: Erica D’Angelo, Borgo Egnazia, Savelletri, Italy.• Spa Team of the Year: Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest, Newark, UK.

Spa Group of the Year: Accor, Paris, France.
