Kempinski Hotels Group is to launch new properties in Ghana, Saudi Arabia and northern China.

The Kempinski Hotel Gold in Accra, Ghana, opens early in 2014 and will have a 3,000sq m (32,300sq ft) Resense Spa with 10 treatment rooms, a hair and beauty salon, a 350sq m health club and a swimming pool. The 269-room hotel will include 22 suites and two presidential suites.

In addition to the 25-metre outdoor swimming pool, the health club includes a gym, two racquetball and two tennis courts, yoga studios, a health and beauty salon and an organic food bar.

Kempinski is also launching a hotel in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia early 2014. The hotel will also have a Resense Spa as well as a fully equipped gym and swimming pool. It will have 141 rooms, 56 suites, and 20 serviced apartments.

The Resense spa menu is based on traditional European treatments and has been designed for its healing power. The signature treatment is a Resense bathing ‘kur,’ which combines Roman bathing traditions with natural therapies. The experience uses steam, heat, water and a soap massage.

The 363-room hotel in Taiyuan, north China will have a Kempinski The Spa, with seven treatment rooms, three three foot massage rooms, spa pools, aromatherapy and hot stone treatments, beauty treatments, reflexology and an aerobics studio.

Resense Spa SA was founded in 2009 as a joint venture between international hotel management group Kempinski Hotels SA and spa consultancy Raison d’Etre.

The company’s portfolio of 39 spas encompasses two separate brands. The Resense Spa will be in selected hotels or as standalone spas, while Kempinski The Spa is a ?exible concept located exclusively within Kempinski hotels
