Kettering public realm contractor named
Balfour Beatty Regional Civil Engineering has been selected by Kettering Borough Council (KBC) to deliver the next stage of the town's public realm improvements.
A pedestrianised area along Market Street and Market Place will be created as part of the Restaurant Quarter public realm project, which is due to get underway later this summer. Sheep Street will be revamped to enhance the setting of the art gallery, library and Piccadilly buildings as part of the scheme, which is being funded through the government's Growth Fund.
Paul Thomas, programme manager for KBC's growth projects, said: "The appointment of Balfour Beatty for the next phase of public realm works marks a significant milestone for this project."
