LA Fitness teams up with IQL
The LA Fitness health club in Derby is to become an Institute of Qualified Lifeguards (IQL)-approved training centre.
The designation is part of a deal struck between LA Fitness and IQL, which will see IQL train more than 500 LA Fitness staff in the Emergency Response Qualification - and a select number of staff in the NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification).
Tara Dillon, Executive Director of the IQL, said: "It is fantastic that such a large number of lifeguards will now receive the IQL's qualifications at LA Fitness.
"The training is especially great for us as it means more lifeguards can be qualified in the future as the demand for our qualifications continues to grow."
