Ladies' clubs offer the missing link to women
Profiles for Women has opened two women-only clubs in Putney and Croydon and announced plans to roll out a further eight sites in Greater London and the Home Counties over the next six to eight months.
The group acquired the ten sites from the troubled Ladies Own group in December 2001 and has spent the last eight months investing in service and product development as well as rebranding and refurbishing them.
The Putney and Croydon sites include functional training suites equipped by Precor and designed to suit the needs of a woman's body.
The clubs' Essentium treatment areas offer beauty and complementary therapies.
'The whole philosophy of Profiles for Women is based on female empowerment and well-being,' says company director, Lauren Stent. 'The launch of our first two clubs will help establish the brand in the market and provide vital feedback, which will enable us to grow successfully.'
In a bid to provide 'the missing link to the complete woman's service', the clubs will offer health seminars, links to women's associations and group events. Healthy eating programmes devised by state dietician Penny Hunking are also available. There are also plans to introduce a personal training service. Details: +44 (0)1444 456171
