Late 2012 opening for Emirates Cap Ternay
The Emirates Hotels & Resorts group - the hospitality division of Emirates airlines - is to launch a conservation-focused property on the island of Mahé in the Seychelles in late 2012.
Representing a US$253m investment, the Cap Ternay Resort & Spa will reside in a 45-hectare (111-acre) protected area which includes a wildlife sanctuary and the Baie Termay Marine Park reserve.
The private resort will consist of a Timeless Spa featuring eight treatment rooms providing hydro- and related beauty therapies as well as a gym. There will also be one of the largest swimming pools in the Indian Ocean, covering nearly 6 acres (2 hectares) of cascading pools, lap pools and private inlets as well as a lazy river.
