Launch of Zest childrens' gyms
Manchester-based Trafford Community Leisure Trust (TCLT) has launched two new Zest minus childrens’ gyms at its Stretford and Sale leisure centres.
The gyms – which feature the True Fitness Quick Circuit – have been developed in partnership with Manchester United Football Club, Force Fitness, Endsleigh Insurance and North and South Trafford Primary Care Trusts.
TCLT has so far invested £80,000 in the project.
Steve Macdonald, Zest health and fitness manager for the trust, says: “These gyms are a fantastic opportunity for kids in our community aged between 11 and 15 to become healthier.
"We already run specific kids’ sessions called Fit Zone, but these gyms will give the kids new and better options to get fit, as well as to be treated like adults.”
Ole Gunner Solskjaer of Manchester United opened the Zest minus gym
