US athletic country club chain, Life Time, has broadened its offering with the acquisition of High Performance Lifestyle Training (HPLT), which offers events and programmes known for their transformative impact.

They include Hyrox-like fitness challenges, exclusive retreats, self-development and growth workshops and will now be integrated into Life Time’s offering, elevating the standard of health and wellness experiences available to Life Time's community.

HPLT was founded by entrepreneur Brian Mazza, who has more than 15 years' experience spanning hospitality and fashion. He co-created strong New York brands including The Ainsworth and Windsor Custom and is known for designing immersive, real-life experiences that challenge individuals to reach their physical and mental limits, cultivating a vibrant community of driven, high achievers.

Jessie Syfko, Life Time vice president of group training and studio, says: "At Life Time we're relentless in helping our members live healthier, happier lives wherever they are on their wellness journey, including those who are laser-focused on a high-performance lifestyle in both their personal goals and professional aspirations.

“Brian Mazza's vision and passion align perfectly with our mission and together, we’re excited to bring our members uniquely curated events and opportunities they can’t find anywhere else."

Mazza says: “This relationship marks a transformative milestone for HPLT, enabling us to expand our reach and positively impact more lives through a broader brand presence. As part of the Life Time ecosystem, we are excited for the opportunities ahead and the future we'll build together."

The first integrated Life Time HPLT experience took place last month, in New York City, with three days of multiple fitness activations, team runs, yoga and meditation. Also on the programme were inspirational keynote speakers, including Life Time founder, chair and CEO, Bahram Akradi; Navy Seal, Ray Cash Care, and Iron Cowboy James Lawrence. The event involved .

Life Time has 180 athletic country clubs across the US and Canada and runs almost 30 athletic events in the country, including the Leadville Race Series in Colorado.

Off the back of the HPLT deal, Life Time is rumoured to be trialling something called the Life Time Games – a Hyrox-style concept – at its Minneapolis club, according to investment house, Fitt Capital.
