Lightwater revamp complete
Health and fitness group Competition Line has completed the first phase of a £2.2m revamp of its Lightwater Leisure Centre in Surrey.
The staged redevelopment of the site means that the centre will remain open during the work, and has already resulted in a new 9,500sq ft fitness area being added, housing a 150-station gym equipped by Life Fitness.
A new fitness studio and separate group training room has also been created.
The second phase of the work will see the redevelopment of the ground floor which will include a new sports hall, an all-weather pitch, new changing rooms, a reception area and bar as well as improved access to the car park.
The refurbishment was designed by architects Mittelman Associates.
The Lightwater Leisure Centre is operated by Competition Line’s management arm, Lifestyle Fitness.
