Lincoln City chair set to step down
Lincoln City Football Club (LCFC) chair Steff Wright has revealed his plans to step down from the position at the end of the 2009-10 season.
In a statement, Wright said he had been delegating an increasing amount of responsibility to other board members over the past 12 months in order to ensure a smooth transition. Wright has been a member of the LCFC board for nearly 10 years but has announced his departure plans in a bid to provide enough time for a potential replacement to come forward.
He said: "By announcing my intentions in good time, it will allow for either a new board member to come forward or a current director to prepare for the role. "The system we have in place is that the board vote on who should chair the club at our June board meeting each year."
