Linda Lennon appointed Royal Parks chief
Linda Lennon, the current chief executive of the Parole Board, has been selected as the new chief executive of London's Royal Parks, with effect from 5 March 2012.
Lennon said: "I am really looking to working with the Board, staff and stakeholders to deliver a successful 2012 and a sustainable long-term future for the Royal Parks."
Royal Parks board chair Apurv Bagri added: "Her experience and proven track record will be really important to us in what promises to be an exciting year for the Parks."
Earlier this year, it was announced that more control over the management of the capital's eight Royal Parks would be handed to Londoners and mayor Boris Johnson.
A new board with 12 individuals will feature three members representing London boroughs; two from the Parks' senior management team; and one from the Royal Household.
