Lodge development for Tasman peninsula
Baillie Lodges – a company set up by husband and wife team James and Hayley Baillie to provide premium experiential travel – has revealed plans to develop a property on the Tasman peninsula.
Called Remarkable Lodge and currently in the pre-planning stage, the resort and spa will be located near the Australian historical site Port Arthur and will open in early 2009.
The Tasmanian property follows news of the launch early next year of Baillie Lodges’ flagship site on Australia’s Kangaroo Island.
Called Southern Ocean Lodge, the luxury hotel and spa will be set on a dramatic clifftop location on the island, which is dubbed the Australian Galagpagos and has a total of 21 national and conservation parks.
The lodge will have 21 contemporary suites, with sunken lounges, and serve the freshest island and local seasonal produce.
The Spa Retreat at the Lodge will offer a range of traditional and cutting edge treatments, for both men and women, and boast three treatment rooms, a chill room and a steamroom.
