Management team steps down at Ultimate Leisure
Allan Rankin and Bob Senior, chair and chief executive of late night venue operator Ultimate Leisure have resigned with immediate effect. Three more of the company’s executives – Tim Wynn, Alison Elliott and Keith Atkinson – have also left.
It is understood that the resignations were made after a dispute following the future strategy of the beleaguered bar and nightclub group.
Last month, the company warned of a further downturn in trade and said it saw limited opportunities for new site openings, which its future growth is dependent upon.
Following consultation with ‘certain’ shareholders, the former CEO of Yates Group, Mark Jones, and chartered accountant Colin Rowlinson have been appointed to Ultimate’s board as executive chair and development director respectively.
The outgoing directors were said to be “proud of their achievements at Ultimate Leisure” and wished the business all the best for the future. Details: www.ultimateleisure.com
