Manchester Tourism Award winners announced
The winners of the Manchester Tourism Awards have been announced, with the Manchester Art Gallery and the Marriott Worsley Park Hotel & Country Club among those recognised.
Manchester Art Gallery won the award for Large Visitor Attraction of the Year, while Worsley Park won for the Large Hotel of the Year. Smithills Hall in Bolton won for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year and Moss Lodge in Rochdale won Small Hotel of the Year.
Other winners included Nutters Restaurant in Rochdale (Tourism Restaurant of the Year), Cloud 23 in the Hilton Manchester Deansgate (Tourism Bar of the Year) and the Manchester International Festival (Tourism Experience of the Year).
The awards are organised by the city’s tourist board, Marketing Manchester, and are supported by the Northwest Regional Development Agency.
Andrew Stokes, chief executive of Marketing Manchester, said: “All of the winners, and indeed nominees, for the Manchester Tourism Awards have contributed to a successful year for the city’s tourism industry.
“With the city playing host to world championship sports events and major political party conferences this year, not to mention a full calendar of annual events, I’m sure this time next year we’ll be celebrating an even bigger success.”
