Marketing push for holidays in Wales
In a continuation of its 'Proper Holidays' initiative launched last summer, Visit Wales is to introduce a major £1.3m campaign targeting the UK and Ireland markets.
Its intention is to generate 80,000 quality enquiries to Visit Wales during the first part of the year, with the additional aim of attracting 50 per cent of enquiries from people that have either never been to Wales before or not for at least three years. TV adverts will run throughout January and part of the campaign will be the annual Wales View Magazine, which features articles by well known writers about their experiences in Wales.
