McLean Events acquired by Questex MEDIA

US media firm Questex Media Group has completed the acquisition of the UK-based company McLean Events International.

Founded in 1996, McLean currently produces 13 branded events throughout the UK, Europe and the Middle East alongside North America and Asia.

The events serve four main industry sectors including spa and hospitality.

McLean will be operated as a subsidiary of Questex and founder and chair Noor Kassam will remain at the helm of the company.

Questex Media’s president CEO, Kerry Gumas, said: “Noor spotted the need for targeted, appointment-based events a decade ago, before any trend toward them had been established, and built a successful company that delivers great value around that concept.”
