Melbourne leisure proposals to be drawn up
Plans for the future of a recreation ground in Melbourne, Derbyshire, are to be drawn up as part of the local authority's bid to provide upgraded leisure facilities.
Cockshut Lane Recreation Ground was one area identified as having the potential to provide additional facilities in a feasibility study compiled by Pleydell Smithyman. South Derbyshire District Council (SDDC); Melbourne Parish Council; the Melbourne Sporting Partnership; and Melbourne Community Centre Group are working on the project.
Plans will include a new pavilion and changing rooms for the site, along with the layout of pitches and associated business plans.
