Minerva to display Ram Brewery plans
Fresh plans for the transformation of the Ram Brewery site in Wandsworth, South London, are to be put on public display in order to allow residents to have their say on the scheme.
Site owner Minerva is looking to lodge a full planning application for the development later this year - one of a number of projects set to overhaul the Wandsworth Town area. A riverside walk; two public squares; restaurants; and a viewing gallery were among plans initially given the go ahead by Wandsworth Council in December 2008.
However, the government blocked the scheme last summer following a public inquiry, with concerns over the impact on tall buildings to the north of the site and their proximity to a gasholder. Proposals will now go on display on 30 June and 2 July at the Ram Brewery, while a new website is also to launch on 30 June to enable people to view and comment on the scheme.
