Neil Jacobs will provide strategic advice to Cain International across the capital investment company’s portfolio of luxury assets, including luxury spa hotels.

After more than 13 years as CEO of Six Senses, Jacobs recently launched a new consultancy called Wild Origins. The company provides strategic, brand and marketing development advice as well as financial and operational assessments. It also provides sustainability planning and execution, concept development and pre-opening direction.

Wild Origins’ clients include stakeholders from various industries, including hospitality, residential, wellness, sustainable development, design and lifestyle sectors.

As of 31 March this year, Cain International managed US$13.6 billion in assets across the US, Europe and the UK. Established in 2014, the firm specialises in real estate, deploying capital across a range of sectors through its equity platform. Its private equity division invests in businesses and brands across the lifestyle and entertainment industries.

Cain is a partnership between Eldridge Industries, an asset management and insurance holding company, and Jonathan Goldstein. Goldstein is CEO and co-founder of Cain. He’s a real estate investment manager who serves on the boards of Aman, Delano and premium sports and wellness club The St James.

Cain’s luxury portfolio includes assets in global markets in the US, such as Miami, New York City and Beverly Hills. It also has properties in London and the French luxury ski resort Courchevel 1850 – such as the 51-key Six Senses Residences Courchevel.

The firm has held partnerships and investments with leading hospitality brands, including Aman, Delano, Raffles, Six Senses, Soho House and Rosewood Hotel Group. It also has a portfolio of lifestyle and leisure investments.

Jonathan Goldstein said: “I am delighted that Neil– with his stature, credibility and track record – has agreed to join us. The luxury real estate sector continues to demonstrate resilient fundamentals and consistent demand, and we believe that Cain’s development expertise combined with operational insights sets us apart.

“Neil’s experience in developing and launching new hotels and building and managing hospitality businesses will strengthen that advantage as we grow our luxury investment platform,” added Goldstein.

Jacobs said: “Cain has established itself in luxury real estate with investments in some of the world’s most renowned brands and partnerships. The platform brings together ambition and quality, and I look forward to working with the team as it continues to expand globally.”

Wild Origins is also providing strategic consultancy services to Singapore-based hotel management company Capella Hotel Group.
