New adventure play area opens in Stalybridge
A new adventure play area has opened in Stalybridge, Greater Manchester, which forms part of a wider £700,000 investment in facilities for local young people in Tameside.
Tameside Council and the government's Playbuilder initiative financed the new facility at Stamford Park, which is zoned for young people; eight-to-13 year olds and teenagers and includes a range of equipment. Allison Gwynne, the council's executive member for services for children and young people, said: "The funding has allowed us to invest in a wide range of play equipment, encouraging more young people to get active."
