New core training at Topnotch

Topnotch health clubs has introduced core board training at a selection of its 19 clubs.

The training uses a four-legged oval wobble board to strengthen the body's deep stabilising muscles and improve posture. 'Core board training teaches the correct use and control of the major muscle groups, stabilising the body's central equilibrium,' says Topnotch's specialist core board trainer, Anne-Marie Pertorius.

At the moment, the training technique is only available via specific personal training, but Topnotch plans to expand to include core training fitness classes in the future. Details: www.topnotchhealthclubs.com
