New design panel appointed to shape future of London's Olympic Park
A new independent design panel has been established by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) to shape the future of the capital's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The LLDC will be taking on planning powers for the entire site, as well as the surrounding areas, from October and will be supported by the 16-member Quality Review Panel.
English Heritage adviser Peter Studdert will chair the panel, which will test the fundamental design principles of planning proposals - both before and during the application process.
LLDC chair Daniel Moylan said: "We want new developments on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to be of the same design standard as our world class venues."
