New director for Ecsite-UK
The UK Network of Science Centres and Museums (Ecsite-UK) has appointed Penny Fidler as its new director.
Fidler succeeds Melanie Quin, who left earlier this year to take up a teaching post abroad.
Fidler, a neuro-scientist, is a former exhibition project manager at At-Bristol science centre and was part of the team of the Your Amazing Brain exhibition.
Linda Conlon, chair of Ecsite-UK, said: “Penny brings a wealth of experience to the role and I am confident she will build on Ecsite’s achievements to date.
“I am sure that Penny will continue to emphasise the value of science centres and will strive to ensure that the sector works collaboratively to share best practice in the future.”
Ecsite-UK represents around 80 science and discovery centres in the UK.
