New leisure centre proposed for Hastings
Hastings Borough Council has announced plans to carry out a detailed feasibility study on a new leisure centre in the town.
The council has earmarked the town’s White Rock Gardens as the most likely location to house the new facility.
Councillor Peter Finch said: “Our present facilities are dated and do not meet the heavy demands of local residents, visitors and language students.
“It is essential that we improve our leisure provisions to meet the growing needs of an expanding Hastings as it continues to develop and regenerate.”
