New sports arena for Herne Bay school
Canterbury City Council (CCC) has announced that a new community sports arena is due to open at Herne Bay High School, Kent, this summer.
Local residents are being given the chance to name the arena as part of a CCC competition, which will form part of a larger sports complex at the school. The complex will include an international-sized roller hockey court; nine badminton courts; two basketball courts; two volleyball courts; and two tennis courts.
A full hockey court; a futsal/five-a-side football pitch; and two indoor cricket courts are also proposed for the site.
