Those who were disappointed to hear that the government is ending the free swim scheme for under 17's and over 60s scheme at the end of July, will welcome the great value new swimming offers from Anglia Community Leisure.

Anglia Community Leisure, which runs the pools in Newmarket and Mildenhall, didn't want their customers to miss out so they've dived in with a new deal for younger swimmers for the summer holidays. Throughout August, under 17s will be able to swim for just £1 (normally £2.10 per session) and all ages will benefit from a new summer swim loyalty card which will be stamped each time someone turns up for a swim and after 5 sessions they will get a swim free.

Tony Bass, chief executive for Anglia Community Leisure, says: "We've had a glorious run of scorching weather and our pools have been hugely popular with local people looking to cool off and get some great exercise. We want the summer fun to continue so we will be offering £1 swims for the under 17s and a new summer swim loyalty card to offer everyone who swims on 5 occasions to get the next 1 free. We already offer generous discounts for over 60s and those on benefits so we hope everyone will take advantage of the new deals and jump in to enjoy the summer."
