New tennis courts open at Slough park
Slough Borough Council (SBC) and the Lawn Tennis Association have unveiled new tennis courts at the town's Salt Hill Park following a £250,000 investment.
Eight resurfaced courts, floodlighting and a club house pavilion have been created as part of the scheme, with the final coloured surfacing to take place in March. Gary Drake Tennis has joined forces with the council to offer tennis development schemes for all ages and abilities, while a new cardio tennis initiative has also launched.
SBC commissioner for community and leisure Shafiq Chaudhry said: "The opening of these new outdoor courts delivers on our commitment to improve tennis facilities in Salt Hill Park."
