New water ride for Cedar Point
Cedar point theme park in Sandusky, Ohio, has announced it will add a new family water ride to its attractions next year.
The US$10.5m (€7.2m, £6.6m) Shoot the Rapids will take riders on a 2,100ft-long river journey which will travel through a themed wooded area and two lift hills.
Guests will navigate through the waters in 10-passenger boats and the ride ends in a "shoot" through water rapids and rockwork.
The ride was designed and manufactured by IntaRide. IntaRide have previously supplied Cedar Point the Maverick, Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force roller coasters as well as the Thunder Canyon river-rafting ride.
