North Warwickshire sports centre gets planning approval
Planning approval has been granted for a community sports centre to be built at Coleshill School in North Warwickshire.
The facility will replace the ageing Coleshill Leisure Centre, which according to planning documents would have been too costly and take too long to refurbish.
The planning document also stated that despite attracting 100,000 visits a year the leisure facility's popularity had dropped 14.5 per cent between 2008/09 and 2010/11.
The new facility will have a four-court sports hall, two squash courts, a 40-station gym and dance studio.
