Access control expert Ojmar Leisure was appointed to help out with providing the newly opened Lifehouse health spa in Essex with a bespoke security and storage system.

Located in Thorpe-le-Soken, Lifehouse is a new contemporary health spa, offering a unique, life-enriching experience, tailor-made for every guest.

Keeping with the concept of providing a full customer journey, Ojmar supplied Lifehouse with its OTS transponder locking system alongside bespoke wooden lockers with tonal pink highlights.

Style, simplicity and integration with access control were all essential requirements for the project, while a unique solution was required for guests of the hotel to integrate with the access control system.

Access for the lockers required innovative thinking and design. The end result incorporates private members' lockers, day spa & member's lockers, and small valuables lockers for hotel guests.

The real time OTS uses MIFARE card technology and offers flexibility by integrating easily with existing access control cards. Timed keys and automatic opening maximizes the availability of lockers and offers both the spa and guests secure storage during their stay.

For reception staff a simple quick system was essential. Ojmar's stand-alone programmer allows the busy receptionists to program fobs and check returned fobs in seconds. The back up PC-based software allows for timing, security checks and allocation of private lockers.

With short-term use locker system the operation needed to be simple and intuitive. For this, the "one click" OTS system is easy for guests to use.

Unique key fobs and bespoke design wristbands were commissioned from the Ojmar team to match the Lifehouse's distinct branding and style. The final results were a completely new concept in what a functional RFID wristband could look like.

The Lifehouse management chose a waterproof flowered band with tonal tear drop fobs which offer an attractive and safe solution to carrying keys. It also offers guests a keepsake to take home and remind them of their stay.

The Ojmar locks have also been incorporated into the hotel rooms to provide secure storage of valuables in room using the same key as the hotel room door.
