Oliver makes restaurant award shortlist
Jamie Oliver's restaurant, Fifteen, the subject of the tv documentary, Jamie's Kitchen, has been shortlisted for New Restaurant of the Year in the prestigious Tio Pepe Carlton London Restaurant Awards.
Oliver has also been shortlisted for the Academy Award of Excellence - along with Raymond Blanc, Michel Bourdin, Gordon Ramsey, The Roux Brothers and Cyrus Todiwala.
Other restaurants to make the shortlist include the Cinnamon Club in the Indian Restaurant category, Locanda Locatelli in the Italian Restaurant category and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay for the French Restaurant of the Year. The awards will be held at Grosvenor House, Park Lane on 10 March.
Meanwhile, Jamie Oliver is planning to take his not-for-profit restaurant, Fifteen, overseas after is early success in London. Speaking in an interview with the BBC Good Food magazine, Oliver said the next 10 years will see three sites in the UK and outlets in New York and Sydney.
