PKC puts play area plans on display
Perth and Kinross Council (PKC) is inviting members of the public to comment on plans to revamp a number of local play facilities in early 2011.
Five play areas - Struan Road, Letham; the North Inch; Riverside Park, Dunkeld; Park Place, Aberuthven; and Kinloch Rannoch - are in line for improvements under the proposals. Each of the facilities are expected to include new play equipment for both younger and older children and new surfaces, as well as landscaping work to encourage natural play.
Work is due to commence in January 2011 and is set to take two months to complete under the plans, which are on display at local facilities and venues near the play areas. PKC is also proposing improvements to two parks in Milnathort - Back Loan Park and Donaldson Park - as part of the Placecheck initiative.
