PTS brings NASM fitness training to the UK

A new fitness professional training company, Performance Training Solutions (PTS), has been set up in the UK to deliver the National Academy of Sports Medicine’s (NASM) education continuum.

The US-based NASM courses have been aligned to both the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) and UK National Occupational Standards as well accredited by SkillsActive UK.

Workshops will be available from September.

Matt Coulson, director of education for PTS, said: “The education delivered by PTS is structured in such a way that current or potential instructors can plan their ‘road map to success’, by identifying which education modules they need to achieve in order to work with the populations they aspire to.

“The NASM education is renowned world wide for it’s ‘application’ focused approach, integrated functional training theories and scientifically valid and substantially researched information, tools and techniques.

“Through PTS, NASM education will be available on interactive professionally presented CD-Rom technology along with hands-on workshops for each course, blending both theory and practice.
