Jeffrey Humble is a great example of an excellent and affordable sporting venue in the heart of a community, offering a top-quality football training experience and state-of-the-art inclusive gym for all
Chris Johnson, managing director of The Pulse Group

Three new floodlit 3G artificial grass pitches, along with male and female changing facilities, car parking and an 80-station gym, have been opened at Liverpool’s Jeffrey Humble Playing Fields - part of the £200 million Parklife programme.

The site will be overseen by Pulse Soccer, a division of leisure provider The Pulse Group, with charitable trust Leisure United responsible for day-to-day operations.

Jeffrey Humble is one of four sites in Liverpool included in the Parklife programme, and for which Pulse has been awarded the contract to operate soccer hubs. Through this, a further nine floodlit 3G pitches, as well as health and fitness and coaching facilities will be created in the city.

The site at Jeffrey Humble will become the home for the Walton and Kirkdale Junior Football League, the Liverpool County FA Girls League and the North Liverpool Junior League.

Chris Johnson, managing director of The Pulse Group, said: "Jeffrey Humble is a great example of an excellent and affordable sporting venue in the heart of a community, offering a top-quality football training experience and state-of-the-art inclusive gym for all."

Parklife is a five-year programme launched in 2016 to address the issue of poor pitch quality. It aims to build multi-pitch hubs across towns and cities in England, with the aim of raising playing standards and opportunities for all. Delivered by the Football Foundation, it works with councils, local football leagues, the government, the Premier League, the Football Association and Sport England.
