Patina Hotels & Resorts to open six-star hotel in Singapore

New hotel brand Patina Hotels & Resorts is set to launch a new six-star hotel as part of the ambitious US$750m redevelopment of the Capitol site in Stamford Road, Singapore.

The new hotel chain was conceptualised by the Pontiac Land Group and the flagship property – The Patina, Capitol Singapore – will open at the end of next year at the Capitol Investment Holdings development in Singapore’s Downtown Civic District.

The Capitol project that will see the site transformed into a retail, hotel, residential and arts precinct.

Comprising Stamford House and Capitol Building, The Patina, Capitol Singapore, is designed by renowned hospitality interior design company Jaya International Design.

The property will feature 157 guestrooms and is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, a global luxury hotel collection.

Exact leisure facilities will be announced at a later date.

Marc Dardenne, CEO of Patina Hotels & Resorts said: “Patina Hotels & Resorts is a new global luxury lifestyle brand that is set to be a strong contender in the luxury travel industry.

“We effectively combine the hardware with the “heartware”, emphasizing a strong sense of place, highly personalized one-to-one intuitive service with distinctive architecture and a passion for intricate details, art and culture, which we intend to share with our guests.”

Other hotel facilities will include a relaxation saltwater pool, a fitness centre, a Library Club Lounge and a signature restaurant and lounge. There will also be a function room with a pre-function area that can be divided into two rooms for intimate events.

Pua Seck Guan, director of Capitol Investment Holdings, said: “We are pleased to announce The Patina, Capitol Singapore, as the six-star hotel component within the Capitol development. This follows the successful launch of Eden Residences Capitol, an ultra-luxurious residential tower, within the premier integrated lifestyle precinct.

Pua, added, “In the coming quarters, we will be unveiling an array of exciting concepts for Capitol’s retail and theatre components which will be befitting of the premier status of the unique integrated development, bringing us towards realising our vision to create Singapore’s heritage lifestyle, retail and entertainment precinct in Singapore’s Downtown Civic District.”
