Pleasure beach hits the airwaves
Blackpool Pleasure Beach has joined forces with north west radio station, 97.4 Rock FM, to create a new radio station for the fun park, called Holiday Rock FM.
The station launched on 30 May at the UK park, which attracts 6.2 million visitors a year. It will be available throughout the site during operating hours until the close of season on 6 November.
Holiday Rock’s sister station – the Emap-owned Rock FM – will host monthly outside broadcasts from within the pleasure beach, complete with competitions, giveaways and special guests.
Managing director of the Pleasure Beach, Amanda Thompson, said: “It’s great that our visitors can enjoy the latest chart hits while experiencing the thrills of the Pleasure Beach’s amazing rides.”
