Precor bolsters functional training presence through acquisition of Queenax
Functional training systems provider Queenax has joined the Precor range of fitness equipment, having been acquired by Precor parent company Amer Sports.
The acquisition – for which financial details were not disclosed – provides a welcome boost to the Precor fitness platform, which includes traditional strength, cardio and networked fitness offerings. With the popularity of functional training showing no sign of relenting, Precor expects Queenax to enhance its ability to offer all-round solutions to fitness facilities.
“Functional training is one of the fastest growing segments in the commercial fitness industry,” said Precor president Rob Barker.
“The highly configurable Queenax system is the perfect complement to our robust strength and cardio offerings and reflects our commitment to helping operators to delight their members with personalised, results-driven fitness experiences.”
