Premier launches course in nutrition
Training provider Premier Training has launched a range of courses covering nutrition and healthy eating habits.
The Certificate in Nutritional Advice for Weight Management, aimed at fitness professionals at Level 2 or above, is based on distance learning and includes a DVD-ROM.
Meanwhile, the REP's recognised, Level 3 Certificate in Nutritional Advice for Physical Activity will allow instructors and private trainers to advise their clients on healthy eating to complement their physical activity programmes.
Peter Banbury, director of distance learning at Premier Training, said: “The presence of nutrition in the media is unprecedented at the moment and it is inevitable that clients will want more information from their instructors.”
“Now instructors can take the opportunity to help them and earn more money at the same time.”
The launches follow on from February 2008, when Premier launched a new Diploma in Nutritional Therapy, which provides attendees with the tools needed to become qualified nutritional therapists.
