Radisson Blu opening hotel and spa in Lithuanian UNESCO site
A new Radisson Blu hotel will be built on the Curonian Spit, a 98km curved, sandy peninsula separating the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea in Lithuania.
The brand already operates three hotels in Lithuania: two in Vilnius and one in Klaipeda. The newly built Radisson Blu Hotel & spa Nida Marina will be built on the waterfront overlooking the Curonian Lagoon, in the centre of the Curonian Spit – which was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010.
The hotel and spa will open in 2019 and will feature 93 bedrooms, “extensive” spa and leisure facilities, and an 18m indoor swimming pool. It will be the first five-star resort on the Curonian Spit.
