Ramsay wins a brace at restaurant awards
Gordon Ramsay walked away with two of the top awards at last night's Tio Pepe Carlton London Restaurant Awards.
He won the French Restaurant of the Year award first, and followed it later with the Tio Pepe Carlton London Restaurant of the Year Award - both for his Restaurant Gordon Ramsey.
Jamie Oliver won the Academy Award of Excellence for his commitment to encouraging and nurturing new talent in the industry, however, his restaurant Fifteen, the subject of the tv documentary, was beaten to the award for New Restaurant of the Year by Thyme.
The Outstanding London Chef Award went to David Thompson of Nahm, and Italian Restaurant of the Year to Giorgio Locatelli's, Locanda Locatelli.
The awards will be broadcast on Carlton at 11.30pm on Thursday 13 March and on ITV2 at 12.15am on Monday 17 March.
