Regent Inns to sell seven Walkabouts
Regent Inns is looking to sell seven of its Walkabout Australian-themed bars on a sale and leaseback basis for £25m.
The seven bars are located in Barnsley, Blackpool, Derby, Exeter, Newquay, Shepherds Bush and Wigan.
Bob Ivell, chair of Regents Inns, said: “These are exceptionally strong trading units which dominate in their respective locations. The sale and leaseback, together with our ongoing disposal of non-core assets will deliver a more robust trading platform for the business going forward.”
Regent Inns currently operates 50 bars under its Walkabout brand and a total of 98 outlets – including sites under its Jongleurs and Old Orleans brands – throughout the UK.
Christie + Co have been appointed as agents.
